5/5 They have shrimp rice rolls which I love and have issue finding and the frozen doesn't taste the same. Easy to buy here and no long waits like the popular dim sum places. 4/5 The siu Mai has larger than usual shrimp on top. And taste is good imo. 5/5 The pork rib are so far clean the 3 times I've been here. No overly porky smell or taste. No broken bone shrapnel but still bone. I had ordered kirin for door dash many times for congee when I get sick. And so when I first stopped by in person a few weeks ago I was hooked. I imagined a more run down place, but by others comment it's had a remodel and new owners? It's not a large restaurant. I think it's a solid place to eat but not the best for dim sum. I'll be coming here again if quality of food and top service keeps up. 5/5 Service is good. Attentive and not annoying. They check on you and really mean it. No moody or rude service ever the 3 times I've been so far. I can't speak Cantonese or mandarin so despite looking like maybe I could I appreciate they assume English and leave the Cantonese and mandarin for older folks or wait until the customer switches themselves. It just helps eating in a calm manner where I'm worried or mutual panicking we don't speak a mutual language and all hoping nothing was misunderstood. I also try to go at slow hours. I really enjoy how they leave me to enjoy my food.

We enjoyed our dim sum lunch and also our family dinner. The food is classic Cantonese. The interior update is really nice and inviting. It's a wonderful update! The booths give you a sense of privacy and are comfortable. Only one suggestion: the cart used by the busboy is disconcertingly loud. It rattles while it's wheeled by and the spectacle of dirty dishes sitting next to you while you eat is very unpleasant. Other restaurants use a large tub or carry the dishes back with just their hands. The service was good otherwise. We will be back!

I've been going here since childhood and had some fond memories of this place. When the pandemic hit we would only do take out. Kirin has always been the best Chinese restaurant in Mt. View and if you think otherwise, then we can debate. Crispy chicken and fried rice is my go to. Anyway, the place has been REMODELED and I am in shock. A much needed update! They have dimsum now too! Wow, tell all your friends this place is back!!!
